I grew up in a small town in New England many years ago. Now I live in San Francisco where I can see ocean between the trees. My career as the long-term CEO of a social justice and healthcare non-profit, transitioned to poetry in 2017. I walk around the city adding to my map of the best vacant lots and corners of parks to pick blackberries and contemplate the poetry of fog, ravens and gardens. Poetry encourages me to laugh, reflect, and take action. I reside with my teacher/writer husband of 45 years. Happily, our daughter lives nearby.
